"THE LEGEND OF SARILA" INUIT ANIMATED FILM! FUNNY TRAILER FOR JON HAMM'S & DANIEL RADCLIFFE'S "YOUNG DOCTOR'S NOTEBOOK" MINISERIES! KIT HARINGTON GOES EPIC IN "POMPEII"

Well, we did wait for this one for such a long time. First, years ago Riddley Scott was supposed to direct a film on famous POMPEII eruption, then later

on the whole project was to be made into a television mini series, but it seems that in the meantime another director Paul W. S. Anderson was faster and he will helm an epic action movie on the famous Italian volcano. The update is that GAME OF THRONES Jon Snow Kit Harington will lead the cast. In the story set in 79 A.D. Kit will play Milo, a slave whose plans to marry the daughter of his shipping tycoon master are dashed when he is sold to another owner in Naples. When Mount Vesuvius erupts, he flees back to POMPEII to rescue his lover and his best friend, a gladiator trapped in the coliseum. The bad news is that DOWNTON ABBEY's Julian Fellows is supervising the script.

THE LEGEND OF SARILA

Here's something very charming, my little freaks. We've really seen all kinds of characters in animated films, from Disney's projects in which they carefully maintain a diversity of nationalities and cultures from Native American Pocahontas, to Russian Anastasia, to Chinese Mulan and Scottish Merida, to dragons, exotic talking animals and other creatures in some other animated flicks. But I don't think we've ever visited the tribes of the farthest North in an animated flick. Today you can see the first pictures from THE LEGEND OF SARILA, an animated adventure which brings the story of a voyage of initiation in

which three young Inuit go in search of a promised land, hoping to save their clan from famine. It is also the story of a fight to the death between two shamans, the young Markussi and the aged Croolik, who feels that his power is threatened. The family-friendly Arctic tale, which will be

released sometime next year and has already been sold to a number of countries around the world, features the voice talents of acting legend Christopher Plummer, Rachelle Lefevre (Twilight) and Canadian pop star Elisapie Isaac. The animation is being supervised by Eric Lessard who worked on MADAGASCAR

YOUNG DOCTOR'S NOTEBOOK

Your video for today is the first trailer for upcoming British TV miniseries YOUNG DOCTOR'S NOTEBOOK which will feature MAD MEN's Jon Hamm and HARRY PLOPPER's Daniel Radcliffe sharing a bath together and will hit Sky Arts this December :) The comedy will see the two of them both playing younger and older

versions of Dr. Vladimir Bomgard, a Russian doctor who is looking back on his life. This television series is based on the short story by Russian writer Mikhail Bulgakov, which he based on his own experiences working as a small-town doctor at the dawn of the Russian Revolution in 1917.

Now, take a look at these magnificent pictures: photos for the cast of LES MISERABLES done almost like paintings. As you probably remember from HOLLYWOOD SPY's extensive spotlight on the film, set against the backdrop of 19th century France, LES MISERABLES tells an enthralling story of broken dreams and unrequited love, passion, sacrifice and redemption, a timeless testament to the survival of the human spirit. The musical movie focuses on ex-prisoner Jean Valjean (Hugh Jackman), hunted for decades by the ruthless policeman Javert (Russell Crowe) after he breaks parole. When Valjean agrees to care for factory worker Fantine's

(Anne Hathaway) young daughter, Cosette (Amanda Seyfried), their lives change forever. In December 2012, the world's longest running musical brings its power to the big screen in Tom Hooper's sweeping and spectacular interpretation of Victor Hugo's epic tale. Hugh Jackman plays Jean Valjean, a Frenchman released from

Toulon prison after 19 years of imprisonment for stealing bread and failed attempts of escaping from the prison. Russell Crowe appears as Inspector Javert, a police inspector who releases Valjean on parole, then later dedicates his life to imprisoning him again. Anne Hathaway portrays Fantine, a struggling factory worker and mother of an illegi-

timate child, Cosette. She is eventually forced to turn to prostitution. Amanda Seyfried will be seen as Cosette, the illegitimate daughter of Fantine who has grown into a beautiful teenager under Valjean's care and falls in love with Marius. Sacha Baron Cohen plays Thénardier, a common thief who is also an innkeeper. He is also the father of Éponine (played by Samantha Barks) and Gavroche (played by Daniel

Huttlestone), while Helena Bonham Carter appears as Madame Thénardier, the unscrupulous innkeeper's wife who, along with her husband, houses and abuses Cosette until Valjean "buys" her from them after Fantine's death. Ultra talented Eddie Redmayne portrays Marius Pontmercy, a student revolutionary who is friends with the Thenardiers' daughter, Éponine, but falls in love with Cosette.

HOLLYWOOD SPY HEADLINES

ZOMBIE LOVE TRAILER FOR NICHOLAS HOULT'S "WARM BODIES"! JAMES MCAVOY IN JULIAN ASSANGE FILM! TOM HARDY IN "ANIMAL RESCUE"? BRIDGET REGAN IN "BEAUTY AND THE BEAST"

According to "Variety" the latest one to join DreamWorks upcoming biopic on WiliLeaks founder Julian Assange is Scottish star James McAvoy.

HOLLYWOOD SPY has reported before that Benedict Cumberbatch is taking the lead role of the famous freedom fighter and human rights hero Assange while McAvoy will be portraying Daniel Domscheit Berg, whose book "Inside WikiLeaks: My Time With Julian Assange At The World's Most Dangerous Website" serves as the basis for this biopic. The role was previously meant for Joel Kinnaman while the lead role was originally planned for Jeremy Renner. Julian Assange launched the WikiLeaks website in 2006, recruiting Daniel Domscheit Berg to join the site a year later with promises that the duo would change the world. The site came under fire when several diplomatic cables were released that embarrassed many world leaders. Domscheit Berg claimed that he left the site due to Julian Assange's lack of journalistic integrity.

HOLLYWOOD SPY HEADLINES

Variety reports that Tom Hardy might take the lead role in ANIMAL RESCUE film in which the story centres on a Boston bartender

who rescues a dog from a garbage can. This act of good will gets him into more trouble than he can imagine, when the pooch's deranged former owner comes after him. He also gets caught in a criminal conspiracy at the mafia-controlled bar he works at. In short news, this Autumn's animated hit HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA is getting a sequel scheduled for 2015! Gorgeous Bridget Regan, famous Kahlan from LEGEND OF THE SEEKER, will guest star in CW's hit show BEAUTY AND THE BEAST playing the former fiancée of Jay Ryan's Vincent who believed he was dead but discovers the truth in the 9th episode. Bridget Regan was supposed to have another show at NBC but the

pilot wasn't picked up for a whole show. Titled THE FRONTIER it was supposed to be a western following a group of travellers who embark on a dangerous cross-country journey in the early 1800s.

WARM BODIES TRAILER

Continuing our zombie week which started this weekend with a new THE WALKING DEAD episode and continued yesterday with WORLD WAR Z trailer,

today you can see the first delightful trailer for WARM BODIES. Hitting theatres next February, quite appropriately given the fact that this is a zombie romance :), the film  follows a young zombie (Nicholas Hoult from JACK THE GIANT KILLER and X-MEN) who after becoming involved with the girlfriend (Teresa Palmer) of one of his victims, sees their romance setting in motion a sequence of events that might transform the entire lifeless world. It seems that love really is what makes us human! Directed by Jonathan Levine, this movie on zombie love problems also stars John Malkovich, Analeigh Tipton, Dave Franco and Rob Corddry.

SWARMS OF ZOMBIES IN BRAD PITT'S MINDBLOWING "WORLD WAR Z" TRAILER! DWAYNE JOHNSON IS "HERCULES"! NEW VIKING EPIC IN "HAMMER OF THE GODS"

As the whole world knows, we do love us historical epic projects, and I have two updates on those for you today: first there's HAMMER OF THE GODS which should hit cinemas sometime next year, a Viking epic with GAME OF THRONES' James Cosmo, CAMELOT's Clive Standen, Elliot

Cowan and TWILIGHT's Charlie Bewley. Set in the violent world of Viking Britain in 871 AD, this will be the story of a young Viking warrior, Steinar (Bewley), sent by his father the King (Cosmo) on a quest to find his estranged brother, who was banished from the kingdom many years before. Steinar's epic journey across hostile territory gradually sees him emerge as the man his father wants him to be - the ruthless and unforgiving successor to his throne. I've told you before that Clive Standen is also starring in History Channels upcoming VIKINGS epic series. The second epic project is HERCULES which I've already mentioned before but now it has been officially confirmed that Dwayne Johnson will take the lead role in Brett Ratner directed movie adaptation of the graphic novel "Her-

cules: The Thracian Wars". This story centres on the title character, who fights other people's battles for money, along with his group of mercenaries. He finds a higher calling when he defends the mythical Mount Olympus from an evil army. As you know, Dwayne should also star in DAVID AND GOLIATH next to Taylor Lautner but that one doesn't have an official production date yet.

WORLD WAR Z TRAILER

And I'm a bit late with this one, but earlier this weekend the first trailer for WORLD WAR Z was released. If you thought you've seen all about zombie invasion in THE WALKING DEAD, you ain't seen nothing, because this trailer promises swarms and hordes of zombies attacking

worldwide like mad ants! With the aim to be one of summer 2013 blockbusters this zombie adventure has a dynamic story which revolves around United Nations employee Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt), who traverses the world in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments and threatening to decimate

humanity itself. The cast of the epic film also includes Matthew Fox, David Morse and James Badge Dale as Captain Speke, an American soldier who tries to warn the government that the threat of zombies is real, and the director is dashing Michael Forster from QUANTUM OF SOLACE. The whole film is based on the popular book by Max Brooks

which became a worldwide bestseller. As you probably remember, the shooting of the film underwent lots of problems - from all the weapons used in the scenes being seized by the Hungarian police, to Brad Pitt shooting some of the scenes in a Viagra factory and to tones of American cars and trucks being shipped over to UK sets to give the authentic look.

SENIOR STARS FILMS: UPLIFTING "ALL TOGETHER" WITH JANE FONDA & GERALDINE CHAPLIN, HILARIOUS "QUARTET" WITH MAGGIE SMITH, BILLY CONNOLLY, DUSTIN HOFFMAN! "BEST EXOTIC MARIGOLD HOTEL" GETS A SEQUEL! SHIRLEY MACLAINE & CHRISTOPHER PLUMMER ARE "ELSA & FRED"

I don't know if you've noticed but actors in their prime years have been really popular in last few years and it is lovely to see some of the legendary thespians in hip new projects from Judi Dench and Maggie Smith to Ian McKellen and Anthony Hopkins.

It is also interesting that recently we've seen a number of projects based solely on senior actors. Here are some of such movies coming up in the future.

UPLIFTING ALL TOGETHER

This one is already showing in selected US cinemas and has premiered in France earlier this year. Delightful French comedy drama ALL TOGETHER starring veteran stars Jane Fonda, Geraldine Chaplin, Pierre Richard and young Daniel Bruhl, follows Annie, Jean, Claude, Albert and Jeanne who have been friends for over forty years. But they are growing old and old

age tends to be synonymous with reduced autonomy, loss of memory, illness, retirement home and, worst of all, separation. One day, one of the five friends suggests to say no to isolation and loneliness: what if they lived together?

SENIOR STARS HEADLINES

In short news on projects with senior stars, first we have the first picture from the LAST VEGAS comedy. Ready to open December 2013, the film will have Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman, Kevin Cline and Michael Douglas playing four old friends who decide to throw a Las Vegas bachelor party for the only one of them who has remained single.

Another senior stars piece of news is that Shirley MacLaine and Christopher Plummer will star in ELSA & FRED, in which Shirley will play a lively retiree in New Orleans who gets an unwanted neighbour when straight-laced widower Fred (Plummer) moves into her apartment building.

DELIGHTFUL QUARTET

I have already written about this one, but after circling around some of the recent festivals and getting high praise from the critics delightful comedy QUARTET is ready to open up in cinemas this December and

January depends on your location. Not only that the cast consists of amazing senior thespians from always divine Maggie Smith to Oscar winning Pauline Collins, Michael Gambon and Billy Connolly, but it is also helmed by another older movie star Dustin Hoffman who

has this film as his first directorial project. Dame Maggie Smith stars as one of four retired musicians who were formerly members of the same operatic quartet. The foursome are reunited when Smith's eternal diva Jean comes to live at the same retirement home as the others, but her reluctance to perform at the annual concert to celebrate Verdi's

birthday and her failed marriage to Reg (Tom Courtenay) injects tension into proceedings. The movie is actually an adaptation of a play by "The Diving Bell and the Butterfly" screenwriter Ronald Harwood.

MARIGOLD HOTEL SEQUEL!

Super charming BEST EXOTIC MARIGOLD HOTEL film, which scored success at many film festivals this year starring Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, Bill Nighy, Tom Wilkinson and Dev Patel,

followed a group of retired Brits whose lives are transformed after they move to a newly-restored hotel in India. The news is that this little film (it cost only about $10 million to be made) which became a worldwide blockbuster scoring more than $130 million, is getting a sequel! According to "Vulture", screenwriter Ol Parker is set to deliver a second script to studio Fox Searchlight within the next month. The cast members are keen to return but it is not clear if John Madden will again take the director's seat.

According to "Vulture" David Yates from HARRY PLOPPER saga will direct his take on TARZAN for Warner Bros. The whole project is currently in the stage in which Yates is talking to some of the actors whom he is considering for the lead role. HOLLYWOOD SPY TV NEWS

And I have a bunch of fresh TV news for you today starting with our favourite channel Starz the home of SPARTACUS, DA VINCI'S DEMONS and BLACK SAILS. They have bought the rights on fantasy saga OUTLANDER by Diana Gabaldon and they will develop it into

a TV show with the help of BATTLESTAR GALACTICA's Ron Moore. Sold in over 20 million copies around the world, the fantasy saga follows British Army nurse Claire Randall as she is transported back in time from 1945 to 18th century Scotland, embarking on an epic romance with Scots warrior Jamie. Speaking of BLACK SAILS, Starz upcoming pirate series

created by Michael Bay, that project also has another cast member: according to "Deadline" English actress Hannah New has joined the eight episode series, set 20 years before the events in Robert Louis Stevenson’s "Treasure Island", which chronicles the adventures of fabled buccaneer Captain Flint and his men. Gorgeous Hannah New will play Eleanor, the beautiful, courageous and determined owner of a rowdy Open Nassau saloon who wields considerable influence in her dual roles as fence/ supplier and party host. As I've already reported before, Toby Stephens takes the lead role of Flint, Tom Hopper will play Billy Bones, the first mate of The Walrus ship, while Jessica Parker Kennedy will play the role of Max, a French prostitute with a cool swagger that matches her stunning beauty.

THE LAST SHIP CAST NEWS

That is not Michael Bay's only upcoming adventure project, since HOLLYWOOD SPY also wrote about his apocalyptic survival show

THE LAST SHIP which has also added some new faces. The story about a global catastrophe that nearly obliterates the Earth's population, forcing the crew of a naval destroyer to confront the reality of their new existence in a world where they are among the only survivors, already has Eric Dane and Rhona Mitra in lead roles. Dane will be the commanding officer of the ship, while Mitra will be a paleomicrobiologist. Now, the new members of the cast are Michaela McManus (she will play a lieutenant who runs the Combat Information Center and missile

deployment), Charles Parnell (Command Master Chief), Travis Van Winkle (the leader of a small crew of SEALS), Christina Elmore (will play a lieutenant) and Sam Spruell (also playing a paleomicro- biologist). The show will air on TNT and is based on a novel by William Brinkley.

form of a webseries over at YouTube, will also have its pilot episode turned into a two hour television film to be aired some time early next year at SyFy. With the top-notch storytelling, pulse-pounding action and cutting-edge visual effects, the story takes place in the 10th year of the first Cylon war. As the battle between humans and their creation, a sentient robotic race, rages across the 12 colonial worlds, a brash rookie viper pilot enters the fray. Ensign William Adama (Luke Pasqualino), barely in his 20's and a recent Academy graduate, finds himself assigned to the newest battlestar in the Colonial fleet... the Galactica. The talented but hot-headed risk-taker soon finds himself leading a dangerous top secret mission that, if successful, will turn the tide of the decade long war in favour of the desperate fleet.
